Armpits 101 - Tips

(Image: cosmeticskinclinic)

Ok one of the biggest body problems tackled is the under arm.  And no, I am not talking about odder I am talking about darkness. A friend was complaining the other day and then it hit me! This is a problem worth talking about and bringing up so I am going to dish it out for you. What I do is I scrub my under arm in the shower using this product that I reviewed before on my blog you can read more about it here:
 http://beauty-agenda.blogspot.com/2011/03/yoko-spa-salt-review.html

This product softens and whitens the area you are rubbing it against and keeps it squeaky clean. I also use this product over my whole body it gives me that baby skin feel. Anyhow after that I make sure I wash my under arm with cold water to close up the pores before applying any deodorant or stick on. This helps keep the product away from your pores and avoid it to be sucked in.

Believe it or not the deodorant you use can also cause blackness due to the chemicals it contain so I suggest an all natural product or any other product with whitening or bleaching agents.

You can buy whitening/bleaching creams off the counter in any store and start applying it in hope for the darkness to at least lighten up. For DIY you can use a fresh cut potato and rub it against your armpit because potatoes are known for their bleaching abilities. Another thing you can do is make you own homemade scrub using lemon and sugar. Lemon is really good at bleaching dark spots and areas. I heard that laser works pretty good for armpits, not only it removes the hair but also whitens the area.

One of the biggest contributors to dark armpit is shaving! if you have thick armpit hair then believe me you do not want to shave because the skin on the armpit area is very thin and delicate that you can see the tiny thick hairs through even after shaving which gives the area a dark look. So I suggest waxing and removing the whole thing and then you will really notice the difference. Other than that just keep your underarms clean and you should be good to go.

Hope my tips help and give you the lightest armpit ever!! Good luck xx

Dark circles - Review

(Image: idiva)

Blame it on your genes or lifestyle, dark circles under the eyes are one of the most common problems people face! Now I don't usually get them but if I do it is because of lack of sleep!! But I thought of sharing this with you guys anyways because I know how common this problem is. Anyhow, have you ever heard about how raw potatoes can help reduce dark circles around the eyes? Well, I learned that few days ago from a friend so I rushed to the internet and did some research. It is an ancient beauty tip! placing raw sliced potatoes under your eyes for around 10 minutes before bed and hopefully you will notice the difference! I am a potato lover. I love it in my sandwich, a side with my burger, and in salads! but I never thought of placing it under my eyes lol. I will try this trick myself because apparently a lot of people said it works and it does help reduce the dark circles due to the bleaching agents in potatoes. Hopefully this tip helps and let me know what you guys think.

Leather Shoes - Tips

             (Image: collegefashion)

We all have this moment where we open our shoes wardrobe and take a glimpse on some if not few of our favorite leather shoes that are painfully tight. It is funny but sometimes they feel perfect in the store but once you bring them back home they don't seem to fit as good as they did. Well here is a trick that will help you stretch them leather shoes for at least half a size and widen them up. Hope this tip helps you guys.

Here are the instructions:

1- Pour 1/4 water in 2 plastic sandwich bags

2- Insert the bags in your shoe in a manner so that it can peek out of the open or closed toe area

3- Place the shoes in your freezer for an hour or 2 or until the water turns into ice

4- Remove the shoes from the freezer and gently pull out the ice bags

5- Pat your shoes dry and try them on to see if they fit

If you still feel that it is tight then repeat until you feel comfortable with the fitting. Voila! no need to return or exchange!

This trick works best on real leather but could also work on fake leather but the downside is that fake leather will tend to shrink back to its original size which will then require you to do it again.

Hope this tip helps!!!
