Gül Güzel Jewels - Review

Hey guys! I can't believe I haven't posted this yet or even mentioned it but I have a jewelry business. I started around 2 years ago and it's doing pretty well so I thought of sharing it. It's basically a combination of vintage Turkish/Middle eastern jewelry pieces. The main elements are raw authentic stones, gold plated metals, fresh water pearls, and silk. The jewelry pieces include necklaces, chokers, rings, earrings, bracelets, and pouches. The designs are really unique and the quality is superb. I am currently selling them at the Rouge Couture Boutique in Dubai and on Facebook under Gul Guzel Jewels.  Each design has a unique name and feature.
I attached some pics below, hope you guys like them (for prices and more details don't hesitate to contact me):

 Crowned Collection

Turquoise Meydan

Queen's Wrist

Majestic Arch

Earring

Ring

There is so much more designs and collections but the prob is most of them are sold out so check it out on FB or let me know if you need to see more pics or what's available.

PS: These jewels are only available in Dubai but if you are abroad and interested then contact me and I might arrange a delivery.

Prada Baroque Sunglasses - Trend

(Image: luxuryobsessed)

Loving the new Prada baroque sunglasses 2011!!! these babies are hitting my wish list. Fresh from the runway, Prada came up with these extra-magnificient sun shades that are just to die for. I am loving the way the frame is shaped and how it curves around the ears. This is just a must have ladies so I suggest you all get one! I have always been a sucker for extraordinary designed sunglasses and this is when i laid my eyes on these babies. Very classy and chic.

Cambridge Satchel Company - Review

(Image: chantagold)

I came a lot across this bag and thought it looked really awesome. I always used to see it with models and in pictures but never really paid attention until I saw it with one of my friends. I personally think that it is a very casual bag and can be worn everywhere. I love the pop of colors there are just so many to choose from. Neons are really up for grabs this season. Mmm don't they just look yummy?! Might I say the bag somehow reminds me of a school lunchbox lol. Anyhow, what do you guys think?

Chanel Les Trompe L'Oeil - Review

(Image: vexinthecity)

Since Eid is today and I am not a fan of henna, I still tried my luck with some salons to draw a very simple modern design but daaaaamn were they all fully booked! So instead, I had an idea of trying the Chanel temporary tattoos since I have seen them on the s/s runway of 2010. They really grabed my eyes and I thought they were cute (if used wisely of course). So I made a little research and found a woman who sells them on http://www.souq.com/ and I am guessing http://www.ebay.com/ might also have them. So the price was not bad actually there are many sheets and each sheet contains several designs.

I bought each sheet for around DHS 35. I have bought 3 sheets so a total of 105. Quiet reasonable if you ask me. Anyhow, I have not applied them yet because I am saving them for tomorrow since I am traveling and wanna show them off lol.

Here is a how-to video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_ywRnowjK0

However I have posted some beautiful pictures I found from the internet.. Enjoy.....

Another thing I like about this tattoo is that it has been worn by many celebs and you can go from a simple classy look to an extreme crazy look!!

Chocri - Review

(Image: fashion tribe)

Do you love chocolates? Well good news lovelies not only you get to eat the chocolate but you get to create and customize your own chocolate bars. You get to pick your Belgian chocolate base, fruits, spices, nuts, confections, decor, and grains. There are so many ways to love and design your chocolate online and then order it as simple as that. All you basically need to do is pick your ingredients and voila!! This is so ideal for gifts by the way because it comes in a nice package and it looks soooo yummy! Here is where you can get started http://www.createmychocolate.com/

and here is a review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tVd1p4n2S8

With tons of toppings to pick from... how fun is that?? And here is the best part, 1% of every bar purchased goes for the aid of homeless children in Ivory Coast.

Gotta love this idea I would defiantly take a bite out of this!! I will leave you to the pictures... enjoy!!

Shoes of Prey - Review

(Image: bella beauty)

Tell me this... have you ever walked into a shoe store and walked right out because you got bored of the designs, too repetitive, over priced?  Well if you ever experienced this then don’t worry girlfriend I have too. I have came across this amazing website that allows you to chose your design, leather, and color and then you get to wear your creation =D!! Don't worry no pencils and papers needed because you get to chose from a collection of designs, mix and match, and add some cool elements.

If you are still confused about it here is a tutorial video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhPJNluNKVk

You can explore their leathers here http://www.shoesofprey.com/leathers

and this is the actual website where you can start http://www.shoesofprey.com/

They use real leather and the shoes are of good quality and comfort. You can skip the design part and check out their gallery for readymade designs which you can customize and modify. The price range from $180 to $330 depends on the leather and design. Umm I think that the price might be a little bit over the line for some or most of you but overall the whole concept is really cool. If you can afford it then why not try and design one and purchase it to show it off as your own =). Here are some samples from the gallery:

And here is one that I designed... Just playing around to show you the concept. Of course this is not the finished look.

Interior Design - Tips

(Image: home designing)

I really love interior design especially the exquisite and exotic designs. Designs that speak to you and convey a message. Something that moves your senses and feelings. Now I’m an interior design graduate and I have been dealing with this topic for too long so I thought of dedicating a post to it. So I have been browsing for some inspirational pictures and might have used some of them in my research papers at university. Here are some interior designs that I find really interesting. Something that stands out and different. Take a look...

I have been recently working on designing my living/entertainment room
and I picked a similar dark gray shade because I love how you can throw colorful furniture pieces and they just stand out with the help of the gray.

Here is another example of what I explained above notice the pink picture in the back it just stands out beautifully.

This picture shows you that you can combine more than one color and they won't even overlap each
of these pieces stand out uniquely on their own. Love the yellow and the pink this color combination
really works.

Ok now looking at bathrooms I really think that they should also be included in
your design scheme. Never neglect your bathroom when you're designing
because as much as your living areas can say a lot about you, so does your bathroom.
Love the black and gold combination however you know that black make spaces appear smaller and white does the complete opposite. But in this picture i like how both colors are balanced. And that chair over there I think the color being black and white does assemble nicely with the walls. Simple yet beautiful.

If you have a large bathroom space then it is okay to be on the dark side. But remember, don't go
all dark including the facility that would just look wrong. Combine colors like gold or silver with a hint of purple or pink... or any color as long as it won't make you feel like you are sitting in a cockpit.

And again I stress on not going all dark you should leave something out, you need to have a center piece. In the case of this design look how beautifully it stands out and look at how the mirror is shaped it is not your ordinary square or circle. Another element is the chandelier which is reflected in the mirror. Chandeliers in a bathroom? Yes but not when you have a small space.

You know those little spaces in your living or bed room that are just empty whether they
are next to the bathroom or in the hallway? Well most of the time some people
tend to leave them empty but I think why not do something with them. Define these spaces don't just leave them empty. The picture above is a perfect example of what you could do with such spaces but remember keep it simple don't over crowd it. I think even if you lose the chair the space would still look good. I am a fan of gold because it is a classic color so throwing bits of it everywhere is okay as long as you don't over do it then you your space would look like a gold souq, well unless you want it to.

Another example of how beautiful the color gold is. And it goes well with red. Just imagine if these columns where plain white or black or wouldn't really look as good especially that it is a reflective surface which really helped with the overall look.

Here is a good example of how to use gold in your bedroom. Notice how different tones of gold are used. As I said earlier it is not a good idea for everything to be goldy but you can get away with it if you tone it up or down and combine them together. Notice the chair on the left corner.

Love the back board!! So creative. Amazing classic bedroom.

Check out this modern fire place. I am honestly tired of the old school fire place so if you want one at your house then this is one to consider.

I have seen this a lot. Using light under these surfaces is one great way to decorate your place. This idea can be used on a bar table too.

And finally, check this one out. The gold's, reflecting surfaces, and even the non-traditional mirror give a whole new definition to the room. Not only mirrors make spaces appear larger but if you use them creatively they can also help you fill in an empty space you have behind chair sets. It would even look good in the billiard area behind that shelf. Players usually like to admire themselves as they play.

Rouge Couture Finger Print Gloves - Trend

(Image: rouge couture)

The famous abaya brand Rouge Couture has been spotted lately with a new twist to it. The leather gloves! Which I absolutely adore. Really trendy and sexy. I have one myself. It is a must have of the season. It is designed by Sara Al Madani (my sister) and her partner Apple Wang. Very innovative and unique to be worn with abayas or casually with jeans and a tee. It was first spotted at the Dubai Fashion Week on most of the models and the designers. Ever since both Sara and Apple are spreading this trend wherever they go. You can purchase them at their stores in Sharjah or Jumeira. I believe the price is Dhs250.
Here are some pics of me having fun with the gloves:
