Face Powders ( For Summer ) - Review

(Image: 29secrets)

Here are my favorite Summer face powders. Just when I want to achieve that tanned/bronze look I always use these products:

1- Mac Mineralize skinfinish natural: I loooOoOove this powder, I always need it in my bag. It gives a nice soft finish and a beautiful tan color. I use it in medium dark.

2- MaxFactor bronzing powder: This is one of my favorite over the counter products. I use this mostly to contour my cheekbones after applying the mac skinfinish.

My Summer Makeup Routine - Review

(Image: mcollectiveblog)

So it's Summer in Dubai. The heat is rising and the makeup is melting lol. It is so unimaginably hot!! I always change my makeup routine when it comes to Summer because it's a whole different story when it comes to skin and makeup. That's why I decided to share it with you guys and get your feedback and maybe you can tell me what your routine is. Here is what I do:

Face
1- I first wash my face with cold water and pat it dry. ( shrinks pores )
2- Then I start with my face moisturizer. ( I use gel - I will add a post about it later )
3- I use a concealer under my eyes, nose area, and mouth. ( I DON'T use foundation in summer )
4- I apply a minerals face powder. ( It's usually a bronze color )
5- I contour.
6- Apply a peachy/rosy blush color.

Eyes
1- I always start by defining my brows.
2- I apply a medium brown color to my crease.
3- I apply eye liner to my water line and on my lids.
4- I apply mascara. ( since my eye makeup is light I make sure I apply as much mascara to achieve a dramatic look )

Lips
1- I always scrub my lips. ( Mix brown sugar and honey )
2- Apply a soft brown lip liner.
3- Apply soft peachy/nude colors. ( In some occasions I use plum color, it looks good on tan skin )

*in case you guys are wondering about what makeup products I use, I will add separate posts about them soon.

Sun kissed - Review

(Image: palm spring)

As we are getting more into summer and the sun is getting extra hotter, it is time to for us to kiss our pale skin goodbye because the golden season has arrived. Yes girl’s tis the season to make the beach your second home and allow the sun to smooch your skin. Goldie and bronzy skins are sooo hot and of course let’s not forget the protection factor which is so important. I have gone to the beach 3 times so far and I have been loving every second.

For protection I of course apply sun block to my face and use a sun cream/oil/jelly that contains SPF. Girls I cannot stress how important it is for us to protect our skin while enjoying our baking process. We don't wanna get burnt, early signs of age, and god forbid skin deformation (cancer). So protect as much as possible!

For tanning I usually use the carrot tanning cream from Lebanon because I swear by the fast results but the downside is that it does not contain SPF so what you can do is apply a sun block beforehand then apply the cream. Well now one of my cousins recommended another tanning product which is again from Lebanon and its called BeesLine. I don't know why but the Lebanese seem to master these tanning products.

Anyhow, this new tanning jelly that I used (beezline) last time worked really fast and gave me a bronzy color which is so noticeable I cannot stress how much I love it. I am currently relaxing my skin now because it is semi burnt lol so I am going easy on that.

Why I love tanning? Well guess what? The sun's UV rays give us Vitamin D and you can get that with a 15 minute sun exposure. Now Vitamin D is sooooo essential I will go through it in more details in another post. And the most important reason is I just love that healthy bronzy goldie shimmery look you get when you tan. And then suddenly almost every color looks so nice on you and especially bright colors. And not to mention that you won’t need to apply a lot of makeup... just eyeliner, mascara, a bright lipstick, and a blusher.

Tanning really helped clear some of the few spots I had on my back. They were completely gone!!

Carrot Sun Tanning Cream - Review

(Image: carrot)

I cannot stress enough on how much I love to tan and how it is an essential part of my life! I mean who doesn’t? I am blessed with an olive skin complexion meaning that when I tan I don't burn and turn pinkish my skin instantly grabs that goldy color. But here is the deal; I have no patience at all!! Literally at all!! I would sleep on the towel facing upwards for 5 minutes and then get bored and change position... I keep doing that until I tan... I sometimes take a walk or swim. I would do anything but sit and wait not until my sister introduced this to me.

My first impression was umm… What the hell is that red jelly thing??? lol once I put it on it felt like I was rubbing jello all over myself but then it started fading along my skin. Anyhow I had it on for about one and a half hours and once I got home... Voila!! I was actually really tanned I was so surprised... That jello thing is a miracle! Why? Because here is the thing, I don’t usually tan on my chest area... I would literally have to sit for ten hours for it to get a hint of color but after an hour and a half of carrot sun cream it was actually nice and dark. Boy I remember the smile on my face it was like victory!! Do I recommend this? A hundred times yes for maximum tan in the shortest period of time!!! You guys should totally bite this product!

My sister actually orders this online you can't find this product everywhere however they sell it here http://www.carrot.net.au/products.asp?cid=1

I forgot to mention that if you are not a carrot person then the same brand offers the same product in coconut, papaya, and tropical fruits!! And also that some of these products are protection free meaning that they do not contain Spf so be careful when purchasing.
